Stereo capability has three hardware requirements: a stereo capable graphics card, stereo glasses, and a monitor capable of 100MHz refresh rate at 1024x768 resolution (minimum).

Video Cards

We currently endorse the 3DLabs VP760 or above series video cards because of their proven stability in the stereo environment. Other compatible cards from NVIDIA are also available. 3DLabs and NVIDIA are the only suppliers of stereo capable graphics cards.

Anaglyph Glasses

If you do not have an OpenGL graphics card installed in your PC, StereoGIS™ defaults into its anaglyph mode. To view StereoGIS™ while running in this mode you only need a pair of red-blue 3D glasses. SimWright will mail you a free pair if needed – please send your request to support@simwright.com (Subject: "SimWright Hardware Support Request").
